Our Services
Coaching
Our executive function coaches focus on developing the cognitive processes that support learning and academic performance. We specialize in working with middle school, high school, and college students. Each of these stages comes with new academic, social, and emotional demands that can impact student success and overall well-being. Through one-on-one sessions, students learn strategies and techniques to better regulate their behavior, set goals, and navigate complex tasks.
Our coaching supports students in:

Tutoring
Our science tutors help students enhance their understanding of the material, foster critical thinking skills, and improve problem-solving abilities. We don’t simply provide homework support and test preparation strategies; we break down complex terminology, difficult concepts, and mathematics within the course so students can fully comprehend the material. Our goal is to make science accessible and enjoyable for students of all levels, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success.
We offer personalized tutoring support in the following subjects:

Why EF Coaching Lab?
Our background is in science which gives us strong analytical skills to quickly identify areas in need of added support. We then apply proven techniques in a supportive space for students to develop their skills and achieve their potential. Whether your student needs executive function coaching, science tutoring, or both, they will learn how to confidently and independently navigate the challenges they are experiencing.
Is Coaching Beneficial for College Students?
We often get asked whether coaching can help college students. The answer is a resounding YES! Many students arrive on their college campuses having never been truly independent. They have been fortunate to receive the support of teachers and parents. Once they enter college, however, they are expected to manage their work on their own, but some do not yet have the necessary skills to be successful. This is where we come in! With weekly coaching, we can help students plan, organize, and commit to following through on their work. We can also help develop students’ study skills so they are prepared for their exams. Together we will build their independence until they feel confident enough to do things on their own.
With the start of the spring semester quickly approaching, now is the perfect time for college students to start coaching. We can uncover executive function deficits that occurred in the first semester, and work together to develop and strengthen the skills necessary to improve learning.
